Exploring the endless possibilities which exist within the same colour palette. I started this series at a time where I found myself a bit stuck and the creative well felt empty. The way through that period for me, was looking back at my former work, what I loved and what worked for me. I needed to remember how I love to be free with my marks and how much I love working with transparent and fluid paint, where you built texture and interest through many layers. There is history, there is a story and it all adds to the final result.

The hero colour through this series is called ‘Southern Ocean Blue’ by Matisse and it’s truly a magnificent colour.
